Labeling Blank Cans.

As we all know, the minimum can order is, to say the least, a hurdle to smaller operations.   In the constant quest for a way around it, we actually got to go beyond speculation yesterday and do a real test with a pressure sensitive lable applicator.  We had been of the opinion that the only way it would work was with a full, sealed can.  Of course it also has to be completely dry, which is doable, but not trivial.    Much to my surprise, we were able to get fantastic results with very little setup sending blank cans through.  Granted, the label shown in the video is what was in the machine and not the right dimensions, but with a full height label with little or no overlap, I think the results could be as good as a shrink wrap sleeve with the benefit of a much lower equipment cost!
